Room Service Food Server

Description

This position delivers orders and/or amenities to guest rooms.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

Monitors guests' needs on a continual basis, ensuring all requests are promptly filled.

Performs all necessary side work. Stocks and folds table linen napkins. Restocks items brought to dish room to be cleaned: coffee cups, saucers, creamer cups, trays, coffee pots, glasses (wine glasses, water goblets), and silverware. Makes sure supervisor approves side work before leaving.

Performs as a team with other servers to produce Rocking guest service.

Performs floor sweeps. Clears all trays and carts form corridors and landings.

Works banquet functions when needed.

Performs all necessary tasks to service guests, answers guest questions, knows room service menu and wine list. Also makes menu suggestions.

Maintains all proper sanitation practices.

Maintains knowledge of property information, including memorabilia.

Delivers food items in a timely manner.

Meets or exceeds service standards.

Maintains excellent grooming standards.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

High School diploma general education (GED).
Experience preferred, but will train or promote willing individual.
Must be able to work flexible hours and shifts.
Must have basic mathematical skills. Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure.
Must be very detailed oriented.
Must project a professional and positive image.
Must have a high level of energy
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Ability to deal with people in a manner that shows sensitivity, tact, and professionalism.
Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively with all Hard Rockers and guests.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.

Training
All employees are required to complete mandatory compliance training within thirty (30) days of hire date, then annually thereafter. Training marked with an asterisk below must be completed prior to reporting to their respective work area. The below courses are required for this position:
