Reporting to the Associate Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education, the HP includes approximately 900 students selected for their curiosity, creativity, and interest in building a scholarly community across disciplinary boundaries. Note on Working Time This position must be available to work standard GT business hours M-F, 8-5 (or 7-4 or 9-6), as well as some evenings as weekends based on student programs and with advanced notice. The first 3-6 months of employment are fully in-person/on site. Following this, some telecommuting will be available in accordance with OUE's guidelines. Provide promotional, administrative, performance assessment, and financial/accounting services in support of assigned program(s) within a research center, academic unit, or other campus units of a school. These functions may encompass a variety of activities related to program success including coordination of program marketing, program administration, program operations, and program development. This position will interact on a consistent basis with: research, academic and administrative management and staff with a school or center and across campus, vendors and sponsors. Additional Information Specific to the Program The Program and Operations Manager (POM) - Honors Program is an integral member of the Honors Program team, ensuring the following aspects of the role: This position is responsible for developing and implementing administrative processes to manage day-to-day business operations for the Honors Program, consistent with Institute policies. As such, the Program and Operations Manager guarantees proper logistics, procedures, and support are in place for successful operation of programs and conducts administrative activities associated with program operations such as procurement, records maintenance, and compliance. The POM serves as the program's main point of contact for internal stakeholders across campus, including the Office of Housing and Residence Life, Office of Undergraduate Education, Office of Admissions, and staff of other living learning communities. The position oversees the recruitment and admissions of students to the living learning community, including the creation of recruitment materials, communication with prospective students, coordination of outreach events, and all facets of the application review and admittance process. Additionally, responsibilities include the oversight of Honors Program student organizationsincluding the Honors Leadership Councilto cultivate student leadership skills and implement student-driven initiatives and programs. The Program and Operations Manager develops and implements large-scale programs open to all Honors Program students in the areas of professional and career development, health and wellness, and leadership. They facilitate relationships with Honors Program alumni through the maintenance of a contact database, creation of on-campus engagements for alumni and current students, and the development of alumni-centered programming. This role also assists with preparation of financial-related reports and schedules, coordinates unit budget preparation, and monitors and prepares related reports, as needed.
